What to do with all the Halloween candy

The boys had fun making this fall gingerbread house with some of the Halloween candy they collected.

Halloween Fun

This year we went to the Dallas Zoo for Halloween fun and what an incredible time we had. The whole zoo was set up with festive and colorful halloween decorations. There were activities with bounce houses, trick or treating fun, singing, puppets and so much more. Look forward to going again next year.

Grammy and Bruce Playing Tether ball

Here is a great video clip of Grammy and Bruce playing tether ball.

Balloon Festival 2010

We had such a spectacular time at this year's Balloon Festival - We had the opportunity to be next to the hot air balloons as they filled them with hot air. It was an incredible experience for all of us. We even had a little video clip of when the boys were touching one of the balloons as it was being filled when suddenly Baily was engulfed by the balloon.

First Time SkateBoardin

Uncle Bruce and Georgie took the boys skateboarding out front of Uncle Bruce's house.

Just Misc. Pics and Videos Taken With My iPhone

Here are a few pictures and video clips of the boys that were taken with my iPhone.

Fountains at the American Airlines Center

Another summer past time favorite was going next door to the American Airlines Center and playing in the fountains there. Woooo Whoooo Fun!

Water Shooters at Cirque

Boys loved their water shooters and we played all sorts of fun games with their water shooters. Most of the people who lived at Cirque worked during the week, so there were lots of fun days for us to have the whole pool deck and fountains all to ourselves. So much fun. One of our favorites was when I would bring the bubble maker that blew large bubbles and the boys would shoot them with their water shooters. So much fun.

PePaw & Grammy's House

Boys always enjoy play time at PePaw and Grammy's house. Here are a few of some of the things they did during the summer.

Playing in the Fountains at Cirque

Once the warm weather came more fun came too.

Playing on the Pool Deck

One of the many things we did at Cirque was bike riding on the pool deck area.

Camel Ride at Dallas Zoo

This spring the Dallas Zoo offered camel rides.
Here is a video of their first ride on a camel.

Watering Plants at Party House

One our favorite things to do was hang at the Party House. The boys had tons of toys stored at the Party House and I had a list of to dos, cleaning, packing and so much more there. To us, the Party House is our home - so we would go and hang.

On one of those days the boys decided to help Daddy water the plants while we were waiting for some clients to arrive to look at the event space. The boys always know how to make everything more fun - here is a clip of them watering the plants "In Style" (underwear and rain boots).

We Moved to Cirque at Victory Park

We moved from the hood. Sooooooooooooo sad. We love our home (which the boys have named the party house). Party house because of all the events, but also because we have sooooooooo much fun at the party house!!! What an awesome lifestyle to raise boys. They played basketball, baseball, football, ping pong, hockey, rode bikes, jumped in jumpolene and so much more all inside the house.

Now we have moved into a high rise next door to the American Airlines Center and the W Hotel. Since our move is temporary (a few months) we are leasing a small place (at least very small compared to our previous home) on the ninth floor of Cirque at Victory Park (click here to see Cirque).

We had a big lifestyle adjustment and it took awhile to so, but once we got comfortable in our new neighborhood and got a great routine going we were just living it up.

We moved in March and it was still cold, we even had another snow day. There were lots of days that were very very windy and on those days the maintance workers would gather all the lounge cushions on the pool deck and stack them into a large pile in a corner area so they would not blow off the roof. Of course it did not take long for the boys to discover the fun of a big pile of cushions. I wish I had gotten so great video of all the fun, . . . here is one of the few I did get.

I do love the City and enjoy the Dallas City Skyline - it is so much a part of me and the boys. At times when I videod the boys I tried to capture them playing with the city skyline in the background. Here is one when they were playing with their dinosaurs; they brought me in their playroom to see their display of dinosaurs in the window - so I grabbed the camera.

There were lots of days that the boys would busy playing with their toys while I did a few chores and I would grab a camera to take some pics or video without them noticing. Here are a couple of fun times of play.

Boys Making a Splashing Mess

After a fun time playing in the dirt and mud I asked to boys to go inside and clean up while did a few chores. Of course, like everything they do, cleaning up had to be lots of fun and lots more work for mom.

Decker enjoys painting

Decker decided to have lots and lots of fun painting. Afterwards he had lots and lots of fun running from mommy - I was trying to catch him so I could clean him up before he painted the whole house.

Fun times riding skuut and playing outside

Here are a couple of videos from some of the fun the boys had today.

Snow Day Fun

Here are a few pictures taken with my phone. The snow keep coming and coming; so much that we went out and built a snow fort. What fun that was. Sooooo sweet to see the boys rolling little balls of snow into giant balls. There were time all of us could not even get the giant snowballs to move. When we all got too cold to play anymore and ahead back inside, Decker decided it would be fun to stop and play in a puddle of melted snow. Here is a video taken with my phone

Here is a picture of Baily's face as it was puffing up from the allergic nut reaction.

It Snowed and Snowed and Snowed

Lots and lots of snow here in Dallas. Boys had so much fun playing in all the snow and throwing snowballs at me. The first day we built a snowman. We tried used some old mixed party nuts to make Frosty's face but then we had to rush Baily to the hospital because he had an awful allergic reaction to a nut. Baily was great the whole time. He still talks about how his face blew up like a puffer fish.

Another day we built a snow fort. Even had a nice snowball fight with Nicholas and Dave Decker who flew in from Florida.

Here are a few videos of some of the fun in the snow.

Here are a few videos of the boys, Nicholas and Dave playing in the snow

Playing Kick Ball in Courtyard

Boys just playing ball out in courtyard one cool cloudy windy day.

Videos of Boys Winter Fun

When it is too cold out to tire out the boys lucky us we can play inside too.

Christmas Treats and Fun

Boys had a great time making their Gingerbread House, Train and cookies this year. There was more eating frosting and less throwing candy balls this time.

Taking Pictures for Our Christmas Card

It took what seemed like months to take some great photos of the boys for our Christmas cards. What an adventure that was. There were times the boys refused to take photos and would just close their eyes or make silly faces. And it was quite the challange to get them both smiling at the same time. I would pick days for the boys to just to fun silly things explaining to them we needed to take pictures for our Christmas card. Soooo, . . . they would be fun and silly (out of control at times - kinda the norm around here) and someone would get hurt, like a bop on the nose with blood running out, making it great for a photo. Whenever I would grab a camera to take a picture of the boys while they were playing, they would see the camera and stop playing so sweetly or silly and run from the camera. I sure was sooooooo happy when I finally got some fun pictures of the boys for our Christmas card.
