Flying a Kite
The Decker Family
On Saturday, October 25th we took a trip to Rockledge, Florida to see Dave and Natalie Decker and their three beautiful children Nicholas, Rileigh and Gracie. It was great to see them all - too much time has past since we have been together and of course our visit was wonderful and too short. Natalie is amazing. I don't know how she manages to do all she does. Natalie is such a beautiful lady - she reminds me of spring; the freshness, beauty, warmth and energy that spring brings.
Clearwater Beach Florida
Trips to Clearwater Beach Florida has been a family tradition for the Galinets since Bruce was a little boy. They all have lots of fun memories of their times together at Clearwater Beach. Monday, October 20th we all spent the day there. This was the boys first trip to play on the beach's sand and in the salty water. Baily really enjoyed hunting and collecting all the pretty and unusual shells with GrandMa (something she truely enjoys too). Decker was thrilled with jumping the salty cold water waves. It was too exhausting for me to continually jump waves with Decker, so I gave that fun time to Bruce. Decker now keeps asking about going to the beach - he wants to jump the waves with Daddy, GrandMa and GrandPa. We also got to build a sand castle. The day went by fast and our time there seemed too short - I sure hope we come back again and soon.
The Park In Florida
We made an adventurous trip to The Villages, Florida to visit GrandMa and GrandPa Galinet in October. The boys enjoyed flying in a big plane and were excellent travelers. We all enjoyed the many adventures and activities GrandMa had planned for us all everyday and when there was a moment we all would take a trip to the park. Though it was not line dancing or playing cards or golfing, I believe GrandMa and GrandPa enjoy the park too.
The Fort Worth Train With PeePaw
I remember when I was a little girl visiting the Fort Worth Zoo and riding the miniature trains with my parents and grandparents.
Baily and Decker love the zoo. We go to the Dallas zoo all the time. One beautiful summer day we went to ride the miniature train by the Fort Worth Zoo with PeePaw. The boys had so much fun. I'm looking forward to going again and I know the boys are too.
Thank you PeePaw.

Bugs
Okay - I don't like bugs, or anything wiggly, crawly, creepy, . . . blah. But of course boys love these kind of things. So I have been really proud of myself for not screaming, freaking out, or running for my life when these wiggly, crawly, creepy things come into our day. Of course, when we are out and about or just playing outside, most of the time I notice these wiggly, crawly, creepy things first - I put on my mommy suit of armour (something that has come in handy in so many different circumstances - kinda like the many hats we mommies wear - but better) and my mommy happy excited voice and sing the words "Hey boys look there is a baby cricket" (or whatever the wiggly, crawly, creepy thing is). Baily sings with joy on these occasions. He'll hold them, try to snuggle with them, and always states how cute they are; which always brings me such joy to hear him say how cute these wiggly, crawly, creepy are when just moments ago he was snuggling with me telling me how cute I am.
One day when Grandma Galinet was out playing with the boys in our courtyard Baily wanted Grandma to get something out of the outdoor toys box. At first she did not understand what he was asking for - was it a ball, no - was it a boat, no - oh, . . . it was a tiny dead beetle that had been in there for a month (yes a month, because I did not want to touch it and was hoping it would just disappear). Anyway, so Grandma got a little cup to put the dead bug in and he proudly carried it around talking about how cute it was. Of course Grandma thought that was hilarious. So now when Baily says "It is sooooooo cute" we say "Cuter than a dead bug?"
Here is a pic of Baily with a baby cricket. He put the baby cricket in a toy boat and flew it around the courtyard, played in the sandbox, took it down the slide and sat it on the bench to rest.
Here is a pic of the boys holding worms. Of course they were "So Cute" too.

Our Fourth of July Weekend of 2008
It was a happy anniversary for us. Bruce and I have been married for seven years now. We went to the lake for the holiday weekend and had a blast.

The boys enjoyed ridding the tracker, driving the mule, fishing in the pond, discovering all sorts of critters like turtles and bugs, playing at my brother's with all the other kids, and experiencing all the fun at the lake. We are so looking forward to coming back.

When we first arrived, Aunt Jackie took the boys on the mule (small motorized vehicle) and Uncle Bill took the boys on the big tracker. They were so excited. I took some video and pictures but for some reason I cannot retrieve them from my camera chip. Lucky I have some photos on my phone.
Bruce tried to take the boys fishing, which I thought was hilarious. Imagine four extra busy hands holding a fishing pole. After a few fish took off with the worm, they final caught a couple of little fish. Decker was more interested in the bobber he called ball and Baily was more interested in the fishing pole mechanism that is was difficult to get a good photo of them holding their first caught fish.
Though we never had the opportunity to go out on the boat, I was glad Bruce went out on the lake with the jet ski while the boys took a nap. The lake was very busy with lots of boats and fun, which made the water very choppy. We look forward to going out to the lake again so we can spend time out on the water with the boys and the water toys.
Memorial Day Weekend
Our Memorial Day Weekend is one that we won't forget. Saturday we lost our precious golden retriever Hunter. It was a hard and unexpected time for us all. Hunter was diagnosed with an aggressive lymphoma that came on quickly. He was only five years old. We all are doing much better with our lost. Roxanne, Hunter's sister, seems to be doing well also - she has been getting lots more attention and love since her playmate and brother past. We created a little post with pictures of Hunter.

Here are some pics of the boys having fun.
Photos from April
Saturday, April 26th. I had a quick moment to give you a link to some photos I uploaded to the KodakGalllery. Click here to see some fun photos of the boys.
The weather was beautiful today and the boys and I had lots of fun. We went to one of our favorite parks - which the boys, earlier this week, decided the park was more fun running around in the big kid playground. The first time it really really freaked me out. They have become more and more fearless and play so hard and fast. Decker likes to take off without me - which I really don't like. It has also become harder for me to leave a park or some other fun place the boys and I are at, because Decker refuses to leave. I have played the bye I am leaving game with Decker a few times and Decker will just wave bye to me as Baily and I walk off. Then Baily starts to cry because we are leaving Decker. It is horrible. I end up carrying Decker who is protesting up a storm while Baily walks behind.
Here is a pick taken this morning on my phone.

I end up carrying Decker who is protesting up a storm while Baily walks behind. Baily fell earlier this week and skinned his knees. I wanted to put these cute band aides that Grammy got them, but I was afraid that he would want to use the whole box of band aides in one day. Glad I did not - because everyday since, all day long, he will pull up his pant legs and ask "What's that?" then wants me to kiss his ouches. Even in the bath.
Decker has gotten better at throwing the ball up into his new basketball hoop. It is so cute to watch him prance around about his accomplishments. I'll try and get a picture of his expression - so precious.
This week in PowerKids they learned how to do handstands and cart wheels. Great - hmmmm - except they like to do these things at home. One of the things they learned about doing a handstand is to act like a donkey. They place their hands on the floor then kick their feet into the air and say "HeeHaw". I tried to do it and looked hilarious because I could barely get my feet into the air. Pretty soon the boys are going to be making fun of their old mommy.
Well, Bruce has transferred Baily into our bed. I guess I better crawl into bed now.
Birthday Party
Thank you for the Awesome Birthday Party!!! We sure enjoyed everyone coming - it was fun and great to see the family all together (and we missed the ones who could not be here). Grammy Galinet, GrandPa Galinet and Bruce did an incredible job at getting the party together. DC did a fabulous and yummy spread of great food. The boys had lots of fun and have been enjoying all the wonderful and thoughtful gifts.
Before the boys birthday I was taking them down the street to play in the sand and to get a little change of scenery. It was always a nice little change during the day, especially in the mornings. This picture was taken a couple weeks before their birthday.
Since then we moved some of the sand into the our courtyard were the boys have been enjoying playing there with their new toys from their birthday. It has been loads of fun, especially with Grammy Galinet creating all sorts of excitement - like singing silly songs with Baily, playing with their bugs in the sand, teaching Decker new tricks with their water table (like spraying me with water) and just hanging out while they play and be silly too.
Today is Bruce's birthday - he is forty-two. We had just a tiny celebration - like said happy birthday, here is your present. Poor Guy. I'll have to make sure we do something really special for him on Father's Day.
Oh, I want to tell you a couple of cute things. Last week Baily was playing in one of the potted plants in the courtyard and came across some styrofoam. He asked me "What's this?" I told him it was a tiny dot of foam. Then he took it between his thumb and forefinger, brought to his ear and said "Hello". It was so funny. I tried to tell him no not phone but styrofoam.
Yesterday Grammy Galinet got to see the boys hug and love on each other. It was cute to see her so excited. She was disappointed we did not get a picture. I am going to work harder on taking photos this week.
Tonight Grammy Galinet and GrandPa Galinet got to watch Decker do front rolls on his own. Boy, we need to do some videos too.
Well, the boys have PowerKids early in the morning Wednesday and I should get ready for bed.
-bye for now-
Coffee Break

I had a quick minute and thought I post a couple of pics from my phone. You can tell they are my boys, . . . yes they were drinking coffee. We have an espresso machine which both Bruce and I use quite often. Every morning Bruce makes him an espresso before he leaves for work. After Bruce leaves the boys will take one of the to-go-coffee cups, puts it under the espresso machine, then walks to the door with their cups saying "Bye, going to work". Just like Daddy. It is hilarious.
Having Fun
It has been a
great week for the boys. The weather has been great so they have been enjoying all the outdoor play - climbing and sliding on t
heir little playground, play in the dirt, writing with chalk, blowing bubbles, riding trikes and pushing cars and so much more.
I only have a quick minute but I wanted to share a special precious moment from yesterday that I which was on video but no camera was around. We were at Old City Park running around when I came across a lady bug. I scoped it up to show the boys and they both wanted so much to play with it. Each took turns taking their little fingers to pick up the lady b
ug and letting run up their arms. It was so precious watching them have such pleasure in playing with this little tiny lady bug.
First Easter Egg Hunt

This morning the boys were a bit challenging - my morning was not going as I had dreamed for the Easter Day. I was already prepared for the cold weather that blew in over the night and the rain that we never received; but I was not prepared for the obstacles the boys had for me. They were not in the mood to eat or go about the morning having fun as we normally do and I had wanted to get out early in the morning for a nice family breakfast at DreamCafe, a favorite of mine and the boys. Long story short, it was 12:30 before we headed out the door and by then DreamCafe was packed. We ended up eating at CafeExpress and it was almost 2:oo PM by the time we left; way past the boys nap time and we were due at my folks house. Oh, and Baily did not eat enough to feed a flea and he was so fussy. So I was really not feeling to good. The boys took a short nap in the car on the way to my folks. When we arrived there was such an awesome surprise waiting for the boys. GrandMa and PeePaw of course, and two baskets waiting to be filled with the colorful Easter Eggs that the Easter Bunny had hidden. We waited for GannyGan and Debi to arrive before the boys gathered the eggs and when they did they had so much fun. The boys enjoyed it so much that Debi played the Easter Bunny about twenty or so more times hiding eggs so they could find them again.
On the way home Baily ate a whole bannana, cheerios, strawberry juice then lots more when we got home. The boys played really hard and are now asleep. I am going to try to get all the Easter Photos uploaded here for everyone to enjoy. Happy Easter Everyone.
Just Scenes Around Home
Picture above are Baily and Decker taking a break in the shade from playing in the dirt.
Next are the boys waiting to see the train that comes by the house. And the other is from the Arboretum. Daddy taught the boys to roll down the grassy hill. They thought running up and down the hill was more fun.
The boys are awake from their nap so it is time for me to go.
First Train Trip to the Dallas Zoo
Wednesday, March 19, 2008
We did not have PowerKids (sports class) today due to the Spring Break Holidays and since it rained all day and night the day before, we all had cabin fever bad. So we took the DART Train to the Dallas Zoo. It was fun. Baily and Decker enjoyed it so much. They even pointed out our house (warehouse) and Claudia's truck as we rode past on the train.
